About the RMGA

Rocky Mountain Guides Association offers you access to over 75 professional tour guides, tour managers, destination management companies, docents, tour operators, transportation companies, travel agencies, and industry educations.

We are your best resource, whether you are seeking step-on guides, walking tour guides, tour managers, airport meet and greet services, complete tours, or dine-around services.

Purpose

RMGA was formed in 1993 as a non-profit corporation, to promote the highest degree of competence and professionalism for tour guides, tour directors/managers, docents, instructors and driver guides.

The purpose of the Association is to provide ethical and professional standards against which all tour guides, tour directors/managers, docents, instructors and driver guides are measured. It is also the purpose of the Association to promote the common interest of its members by:

Holding meetings and familiarization (FAM) trips for education of members;
Providing opportunities for the exchanging of experiences and opinions regarding the industry;
Providing a forum for development and promotion of common professional interests and concerns;
Cooperating with other related and non-related organizations in a common endeavor to promote the professional and the public's awareness.
